Baarish Season 2, starring Sharman Joshi and Asha Negi in the lead, revolves around the ups and downs of Anuj (Sharman) and Gauravi’s (Asha) love story.
The cast of Baarish Season 2 recently interacted with the media over a Zoom call. In the chat, when Asha Negi was asked about the toughest scene she had to shoot for Baarish 2, she revealed that the kissing scene between her and her co-star Sharman Joshi was the toughest, as this was her first on-screen kiss. She said, “For this season, the toughest scene was our kiss scene because this was my first on-screen kiss. And, I was very nervous. But Nandita Ma’am (Mehra and Sharman (Joshi) made me very comfortable.”
Asha’s co-star Priya Banerjee had an interesting anecdote regarding the day the Pavitra Rishta actress was supposed to shoot the scene. Priya was supposed to meet Asha on the sets but Asha asked her not to come as she had a kissing scene and she would feel shy. “When she asked me not to come I thought something serious might have happened but she said ‘no, I am kissing on-screen and if you come I will be very awkward’. I’ve never seen anybody so nervous for an on-screen kiss.”

Sharman Joshi, who plays Anuj in Baarish had a different take on the situation. The actor, who has had a few kissing scenes in his films, revealed that his co-stars would be so comfortable that it became awkward for him. “She (Asha) was very uncomfortable but thankfully Priya (Banerjee) was there that day and she told her ‘you calm down, you are possibly making Sharman also uncomfortable’.”
Sharman went on to add, “I have done a few kissing scenes before. Initially when I had to do the kissing scene and I thought I will have to be chivalrous and make the lady comfortable, but the ladies were so comfortable with themselves. Woh log itne comfortable the ki I became awkward. In Asha’s case, it was nice ki woh itni uncomfortable thi, that I got to play the man in command or control.”
Created by Ekta Kapoor, Baarish has been directed Nandita Mehra and written by Aayush Agarwal. The second season begins streaming on ALTBalaji and Zee5 today (May 6).
