The undisputed UFC Lightweight champion of the world is coming off an astonishing record of 28-0-0. In addition to this, he now looks to make his record greater by beating Tony Ferguson.

The Russian fighter feels he has been through every great fighter in the Lightweight division other than Tony Ferguson. He feels that once he beats Ferguson he can take his rightful place as Top Dog.

The Eagle is very confident and sure headed about emerging victorious against Tony Ferguson.

The UFC has tried to book the fight between Ferguson and Khabib on multiple occasions in the past. A continuous cycle of injuries and health issues to both fighters has resulted in scrapping the fight every single time.

For instance, a broken rib resulted in Khabib pulling out of the fight in 2015 and sudden hospitalization in 2017. Similarly, Ferguson had to back out of the fight in 2016 and 2018.

The Coronavirus epidemic has been plaguing people from all walks of life, disrupting the progress of several institutions. The upcoming fight may meet the same fate as the previously booked fights due to the sudden outbreak.

Dana White has assured fans that the UFC will not be canceling the event. But that statement is subject to change based on the developments in the severity of the health epidemic.

Pre-fight festivities at UFC Brasilia have already fallen prey to the deadly virus and the whole card was fought behind closed doors. These decisions were taken considering the severity of the problem in the South American nation of Brazil.
