On Saturday, British Columbia’s provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry confirmed an eighth case of COVID-19 in a woman who was visiting from Tehran, Iran. She added that the first four cases that occurred in B.C. had all “fully recovered,” and three other cases were in stable condition.
Dr. Henry also said that the province has been “in contact” with the United States amid ongoing concerns about the COVID-19 outbreak, and that they are “watching very carefully” after the first U.S. death was reported in Washington state, which shares a border with B.C.
